Rise above them.
I awoke early in the morning to go.
Hiked up the biggest hill I’ve known.
Down below, my home valley lay.
Unaware of the beginning of a new day.
The sky still darkened by the shade of night.
Only relying on the moon for light.
The dawn will soon appear I am certain.
Rolling back the night like a curtain.
As I look look towards the mountains.
I can see it has already begun.
I am always in awe.
When I see the rising of the Sun.
Here it comes
Like a hope of long last.
Taking the weary and broken
And making them run fast.
Letting the cold and angry.
Feel peace once again.
Here comes the Sun.
